Hungary continues to make tourists happy with the experience they had while visiting the place. Here, you will see the low mountains, lakes, rivers, and natural wonders that the place offers.

1.) Castle Hill

On the Castle Hill alone, one will have a whole gamut of sights to enjoy such as the Royal Palace which happens to be the most popular spot in the hill. There’s also the National Gallery which offers a great collection of paintings for viewing. And if you care to view the Danube, the Fisherman’s Bastion will be the just the right place to be.

2.) Museums at the Hill

If you think your visit to the Castle Hill ends with the Fisherman’s Bastion, think again. You will not get enough of the museums that teem in the place. They have the Historical Museum of Budapest, Music Museum, Military Museum, Marzipan Museum, and Pharmacy Museum as well as the Museum of Medieval Judaism.

3.) Caves

Aggtelek is one of the villages located north of Hungary, quite close to the border with Slovakia. What you will find here is a beautiful cave system that is known for its size. In fact, visiting the entire Baradla Cave will take you at least five hours to complete.

4.) Major Lake

Balaton is recognized as the biggest among the lakes in Central Europe. You can do some hiking in the area or try sailing or swimming in it especially during summer time. You can also add a trip to the wine cellars as a side visit and relax in thermal spas that are available in the place to relax your tired feet.

5.) GödöllQ

This city is located in Pest County where tourists often stop to take a look at the Royal Palace which was home to Emperor Franz Josef and Queen Elizabeth. You should also see its Town Center to visit the Grassalkovich Palace. There’s also the town museum which exhibits art nouveau from Hungarian artists.

6.) City Parks

While you’re at GödöllQ, you may try visiting a few of their parks that surround the palace, and there are three of them named Alsó, FelsQ and Erzsébet parks. The first park boasts of the World Tree which is a giant sculpture. In the second, you will get to walk along a path filled with wild chestnut and trees where Queen Sisi would go for her horse rides. The third park is considered the best of the three.

7.) Tokaj

This small town is known for its white wines, so it easily means visiting wine cellars and taking a sip. In addition, you can also go mountain climbing up the Bald Mountain or go fishing in the river. If you happen to be there during the last week of May, then enjoy their Wine Festival, and if it’s the first weekend of October, then you’re in for the Harves festival.

8.) Tiszavirágzás

You may chance upon some Tiszas during the middle of June. These mayflies are sometimes mistaken for flowers, and although they were once affected by pollution, their colony is slowly gaining again. They are definitely a sight to watch, and hopefully, you can catch them on your visit.

9.) Eating Hungarian

Hungarians call their cuisine Magyar Konyha where food is generally spicy and tasty. In fact, paprika is a national spice for them. You could try their native goulash, chicken with paprika sauce, and carp fish soup with what else but paprika, and goose is also a main good ingredient in Hungarian dishes so expect to see them on the menu.

10.) Drinks

Expectedly, Hungary has a list of one of the best wines such as Villány, Badacsony, Szekszárd, Tokaj, and Eger. There’s even a story around some of the names of the wines such as the Bull’s Blood of Eger. Whatever way you may have it, their wines are something you would want to bring home for remembrance.

Situated at the bosom of Europe, Hungary is a mesmeric country. Nevertheless, it’s shaped like a kidney but it is supposed to be heart of European vivacity.Hungary is a beautiful landlocked country. There are plenty of things to do and places to see in Hungary. Its countryside has many national parks and its cities are popular for short city breaks.

Autumn is a good time to travel to Hungary – most holiday resorts are too busy during the summer months and too cold during the winter months. Hungary has a very cold climate during winter with the summers being very humid and warm. The south of the country enjoys a Mediterranean climate. Heavy snow showers are common during the winter months.

A large part of Hungary’s landscape is covered in woodland and wetland. The majority of the land is flat with few hills. There are several large national parks and wetland parks hosting a large amount of wildlife that are protected.

Hungary is home to some of Europe’s best architecture. It boasts Europe’s third largest church – the Esztergom Basilica, and the second largest abbey in the world – the Pannonhalma Archabbey. The famous Baroque castle is also situated there. Tourism is an important part of the Hungarian economy much of which is due to the stunning city of Budapest.

Budapest is one of the most outstanding cities in Europe and is the capital of Hungary. It is situated on the banks of the river Danube and is a city rich in history, stunning architecture and kind people. Its troubled history has left the city with great historical sites, the jewel being Buda castle, which overlooks the Danube.

For anyone interested in the arts, Hungary has a lot to offer. Embroidery, carvings, pottery and paintings are all part of the Hungarian arts and culture. Traditional Hungarian folk music and dance have been popular throughout the centuries. There were a lot of great Hungarian composers. Throughout the years many great artists have left Hungary for political reasons.

There are a large variety of places to stay at reasonable rates. Cheap hostels are plentiful for students, with good quality hotels that will meet most tourists needs. The cheapest time to visit Hungary is during the autumn and winter months.

Hungarian food includes soups, sausages and smoked meat. The Hungarian goulash soup is a well known dish. Other foods widely used are chicken, pork, beef and veal. The main alcoholic drinks produced in Hungary are red and white wine and beer. Fruit juices and coffee are also produced there.

Hungary lies on a tectonic fault line that gives way to many hot springs. There are many wonderful spas built on these hot springs and are well worth a visit if you are in need of relaxation and comfort.

The local currency of Hungary is the Hungarian Forint, but the Euro is widely accepted. People living inside the borders of the European Union do not need a visa to visit or work. People living outside the EU zone should contact their local embassy.

For anyone interested in European culture and likes to enjoy a break in Europe’s top cities, a trip to Hungary and Budapest should be top of your list.

A popular dental treatment besides dentures and bridges used to replace missing teeth are dental implants. You can find many surgeons that provide dental implants in Hungary. Old age, having teeth knocked out, decay and gum disease can all cause teeth to fall out. Dental implants are an excellent long term, more comfortable and natural alternative to replacing teeth and they can slow down bone loss in your jaw as well as preserve any nearby healthy gums.

You want to have a very tight integration between your replacement tooth and the surrounding gums, as this will keep everything in place. A dental implant does just this, as there is nothing as well fused with your jaw unless it is a real or natural tooth. The time it takes for the dental implant to integrate with your jaw varies from six weeks to six months.

Of the many advantages to having dental implants besides function the reduction of bone loss may be one of the best. Having a lost tooth causes the bone in that spot to disintegrate and if allowed to continue can cause your jaw to become misshapen. Having a replacement tooth down to the root will stimulate bone growth at that spot and reducing any deformities that may occur in your jaw from loss of bone.

Once the dental implant has taken you can function as if you had all of your natural teeth. Unlike when using dentures you will not have any speaking problems or have difficulty eating any type of food. You will not experience any inflammation or irritation from eating, as dental implants are much more functional than dentures.

One will generally feel that Hungary comes across as having a complex sense of identity. It regards itself not as Balkan or Slavic, but Western. History, as well reveals that the country is an assortment of cultures which can be a major area of attraction for tourism to the country. The mosaic of cultures and lineages that Hungary possesses can be understood by the fact that it shares shared borders with the Slovak Republic, Ukraine, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Austria and Slovenia. The beautiful stretches of water such as Lake Balaton can be a tourist’s delight especially because they pulsate with hot, medicinal springs.

In spite of the complex sense of identity Hungary has nevertheless retained its unique language and customs. As a tourist what will strike you is the immense pride that the Hungarians have for their homeland. They will not hesitate to convince a tourist to spend time to explore Hungary’s thousands of acres of vineyards and orchards as well as 11 national parks and hundreds of protected areas. Hungary will attract you with its rich tradition of folk and classical music. Budapest, the capital city has for long been associated with writers, artists and musicians. It also has attractions for the young modern crowd. Modern music can be heard to spill out from nightclubs, trendy bars and discos. Hungary tourism has a culture of excellent hospitality which is exemplified by the hotels Hungary has to offer to the visitors.

Hungary is a slowly emerging economy in today’s world. It has seen a lot of turbulence in its economy especially because there the government there was a communist rule in the country right down to the year 1990. In that year the government changed for good and the Hungarian economy was turned from a closed market model to an open market model. This means that the large amount of centralization that was the bane of the Hungarian economy started to be reduced systematically. There has been a lot of progress since that time and the market-based economy in Hungary has been successful so far.

However, the high amount of government spending and the inconsistent business licensing and registration has led to a great crisis in recent year. This has also happened because not all government enterprises have been converted to private ownership and their performance has not been very good lately. Hungary being a member of the EU, has had to take seek out a help package from the EU and the IMF to the tune of $20 billion. This has greatly helped the economy to stabilize in recent times and it helps the country to make room for development.

For importers, the country offers a lot of opportunities. There are several key industries within the country that require imported items to run smoothly. Hungary is a technically advanced country and one where a lot of high-tech equipment is manufactured. For this industry, you can import the high quality raw materials that are often required. This sector also creates a demographic that is not quite rich but has moderate spending power. Your import can also serve their needs by giving them items that they want at a lower price or better quality or both if possible.

Exporting in Hungary is going to be one of the most lucrative opportunities that you have ever come across. The country has recently made a shift from the lower value food and textiles industry to the higher end of manufacturing luxury automobiles, high-end tourism, information technology etc. It is one of the most important aspects of the country because this defines the items that the country has available for export. The country has been exporting these high-end items since their manufacturing was started and exporters will benefit greatly from these.

A shoppers paradise…
Vaci Utca is Budapest’s only pedestrian street and can be found in District V (five). Anyone who loves to shop, shop not to mention spend, will adore this street which is adorned with 19th century architecture. This long street starts from Vörösmarty Square and leads to the Great Market Hall near FÅ’vám Tér.

Due to increased numbers of tourists flocking to Budapest many souvenir shops have popped up in this area in the last few years – perfect if you’re looking for a few last minute pressies or keepsakes of your time in the city.

Many bars and cafes also line the street. If you’re feeling a bit peckish after your shopping experience, there are some great eateries that you can have a drink or a bite to eat. In fact, some of the best local fare can be found along here.

Budapest’s best Department Stores…
Like every European city, a number of huge department stores have settled in Budapest. You’re assured of good quality, reasonable goods in these department stores.

Corvin is a popular department store and is located in the Budapest’s VIII district. Here you’ll find items like kitchen accessories, towels, clothes, furniture, toys and more. There is also a supermarket on the ground floor.

Oh and don’t forget about the well-known British department store, Marks & Spencer’s. It is located on the main shopping street in Budapest Vaci Utca in district V. You’ll also find C&A on Vaci Utca. Both of these department stores have a fine selection of women’s and men’s clothes, sportswear along with baby’s and children’s clothing.

Shopping Centres in Budapest…
Budapest’s malls have proved popular with both locals and tourists alike. Go back 15 years and shopping centres/malls were unheard of in Budapest – they only had the likes of them in New York or Germany. Today though, Budapest has loads of shopping centres located all over the city. These mostly host western shops and brands.

A lot of the malls are situated close to either major intersections or metro stations allowing easy access to them. If you’re staying in the city centre you’re near two of the most popular malls; the Westend City Centre and Mammut Mall.

The Westend is located beside the Western Railway Station. This is actually Central Europe’s largest shopping mall. Hosting over 400 stores, a 14-screen cinema complex, and a massive selection of food areas, you’ll be really impressed by this shopping centre.

Mammut Mall is located on the Buda side at Szena Square and houses over 300 shops. The mall is made up of two seven-story buildings. You’ll find an entertainment centre and numerous restaurants and cafes here too. Perfect for a family day out.

Other shopping malls in Budapest that are well worth a visit include Duna Plaza, MOM Park, Arkad and Lurdy Haz.

Budapest’s best markets…
Budapest is renowned all over the world for its fantastic markets. Some of these excellent markets are housed in grand market halls. Not only are they great places in which to see locals going about their daily business, but also offer high quality produce at cheap prices. Everything from souvenirs, to leather goods, clothes, fresh fruit and vegetables etc. can be found on sale here.

The Central Market Hall is the most popular of all the markets to be found in Budapest. It’s the largest indoor market and is located in the 9th district. Many flock to this market to buy its world-renowned paprika!

The sheer size of the place alone will dumbfound you, not to mention the enormous selection of stalls. Most stalls on the ground floor sell souvenirs, gifts and wine. You’ll also find mouth-watering meats, fresh vegetables and fruit and sublime cheese. If you need to take a break from all this bargaining, there are plenty of snack bars around.

Hungary is a growing tourist destination for visitors from the rest of Europe and beyond. Visitors take Hungary flights not only for spending their vacations but also for business purpose as it is a rich in natural resources like bauxite, coal, natural gas, and fertile soils, and is a big exporter of electric and electronic equipment, machinery, foodstuffs and chemicals. Quality wines, rejuvenating thermal springs, and a thriving arts and music scene are just hint of tourism in the country.

Royal Palace: Also known as Buda Castle, Royal Palace is dominating the city skyline from its vantage point on top of Buda Hill. Architecturally the Palace is a hodge-podge of styles. If you take flights to Hungary go to visit this palace in night as it’s the best time to take a magnificent view of the site. It is a complex that houses National Library, the National Gallery and the Budapest History Museum. This complex of the Hungarian kings is built on the southern tip of Castle Hill. This site was declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, and has now become one of the most visited Hungary sites by both locals and cheap Hungary flights takers.

Gellert Hills: Getting to Gellert Hills is an adventure in itself. This hill is home to several historic spas, valued for their medicinal qualities since the Turkish occupation. One may see a stunning view of the city from a lookout tower. This medieval area with its winding streets is a wonderful place to start exploring Budapest on foot. Here one can relax in the thermal waters of the Roman-styled pool with its lion-headed spouts. The Gallert Hills cave is located within these hills and is visited by tourists taking cheap flights to Hungary.

Chain Bridge: It is one of the famous landmarks in Budapest as well as in Hungary. It was the first connection between pest and Buda made in 1836. The cast iron decorations and structure of Chain Bridge that radiates calm dignity and harmony raise it to the ranks of the most beautiful examples of industrial heritage in Europe. Visitors taking flights to Hungary from UK and all other parts of the world just love to pay a visit to this magnificent site. These facts all serve to make the Chain Bridge a national symbol of Hungary.
